Sauerkraut Workshop

Description:
 Learn about the benefits of fermentation and make a fermented classic -- sauerkraut! While cabbage and other vegetables are naturally full of nutrition, the process of fermentation increases their health benefits even more. Holistic health coach Evey Schweig will explain why fermented foods are so good for you before demonstrating the process of making sauerkraut. Then make your own to take home. Please bring a wide-mouth quart size Mason jar, chef’s knife, large mixing bowl, cutting board, and a tamper to push down the kraut (optional). Registration required and space is limited.
