 The film charts the life of a black youth growing up in a rough neighborhood in Miami. Divided in three chapters, the film follows Chiron (played by three different actors) through childhood, adolescence, and adulthood, as he tries to define his place in the world. Based on a story by Tarell Alvin McCraney, this multi-nominated and award winning film was directed by Barry Jenkins.
