Program: Finding Ancestors Before 1850

Pre-1850 research can be difficult. The federal census does not list everyone in the household by name and many localities do not have civil vital records. This session will explore some record groups and research strategies for moving your ancestral lines beyond the mid-19th century.

Presented by Amy Johnson Crow

Amy Johnson Crow is the founder and lead educator at Generations Connection and is the host of the popular Generations Café podcast. She is the author of 31 Days to Better Genealogy, a resource guide filled with practical tips you can put into practice right away, as well as more than 40 articles in various genealogical publications.
