July 4th, 2013 Celebration

North Aurora is again joining the City of Aurora for the annual Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration!

This year the 4th of July Celebration will be held at the following three (3) downtown Aurora locations, from 5:00 to 10:00 pm - the new RiverEdge Park on Broadway; Wilder Promenade on N. River Street; and McCullough Park at Illinois & Lake Streets. Each location will offer unique entertainment, local food vendors and other amenities.

RiverEdge Park – Fourth on the Fox presented by Paramount Theatre. Food Vendors; Music - 6:00 pm - Fox Valley Orchestra - Performing a mix of patriotic music and classical favorites; 8:00 pm - Bruce In The USA – A note-perfect and visually accurate Springsteen tribute band.

Wilder Promenade – A Patriotic Celebration with Food Vendors; Music - 6:00 pm - DJ Guy; and FREE Inflatable Rides for Children 12 & under.

McCullough Park – A Hometown Fourth presented by Aurora Historical Society. Food Vendors – Featuring Jimmies Hot Dogs (An Aurora Tradition); Music - 6:00 pm - American Legion Post 84 Band - Patriotic selection of big band sounds along with the Color Guard; 8:00 pm Captains of Industry – A local band specializing in classic rock and roll.

Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular - 9:30 p.m.
Raise your eyes to the skies as the City of Lights lives up to its name with a bigger than ever pyrotechnic spectacular along the banks of the Fox River in Downtown Aurora! It will be like two shows in one with fiery bursts of red, white and blue in the sky above and twinkling reflections in the Fox River below. It’s going to be the kind of show you have to see to believe!!!
