Author Time - Ann Hood

Event Type: Book Discussion Group
Age Group(s): Adults
Date: 10/17/2013
Start Time: 10:00 AM
End Time: 11:00 AM
Description:
From her home in Providence, Rhode Island, Ann Hood has woven a tale of two women from different eras. Claire wrestles with a decision of whether to stay in a conventional marriage at the onset of JFK's inauguration or whether to follow a more romantic lead towards a different kind of love affair. Claire's story is interposed with that of Vivien Lowe, an obituary writer who lost her great love to the Great San Francisco Earthquake of 1906. The two women cope with the changing roles of women and with their own hearts in a story that is part literary mystery and part love story. Find out more about Ann Hood and her writing in this rare opportunity to meet the author. We will gather at 10:00 am to discuss questions and then meet with Ann at 10:30 with the help of Skype.
