What better place to kick-off the iRead program than the Youth Services Department with over 60,000 books to choose from? Our staff will be happy to help you choose books or you can just browse on your own. Other staff will be available for library card sign up.

District 112 teachers will be here to greet you and to read selections from some of their favorite books.

9:30 - 11 a.m.
Come and meet some wonderful children’s book authors, including Brenda Ferber (Julia’s Kitchen), Nancy Grossman (A World Away), Michele Hurwitz (Calli Be Gold), and Jenny Meyerhoff (Third Grade Baby.) Books will be available for purchase and signing.

Jugging Funny Stories! With Chris Fascione
11 a.m. - 11:45 a.m., auditorium
Nationally-known family entertainer Chris Fascione brings children’s stories to life with his high-spirited and innovative performances. Full of energy, humor, and imagination, Chris creates colorful characters through his unique combination of acting, storytelling, comedy, and juggling. Adults and children alike have fun participating in the show.
