Affordable Care Act: Basics for Business Owners.

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) has many provisions that impact small business. The workshop focuses on four key provisions that small businesses from 1-50 employees need to know:
1) How to Apply for health insurance credits
2) Compliance with federal notice requirements
3) Required fees and possible non compliance fines
4) Understanding how (SHOP) Small Business Health Option Programs will work.
This workshop should help small businesses understand available tax credits , how to purchase insurance on SHOP and what circumstances will small business owners face a fine from the IRS.
CJ Evard is the founder of IHU Consulting LLC. IHU educates small and medium sized companies with federal compliance requirements related to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act including the latest updates on rules and regulations. IHU employs a small team of consultants and other advisors specializing in Health Benefits and Health Care reform requirements. Mr. Evard spent 10 years in the Health Care industry as an analyst and consultant. He has an MBA in Economics and has given presentations to various Illinois groups including the Chicago Chamber of Commerce, SCORE, and most recently as part of "The Atlantic Roundtable".

The workshop is presented by SCORE Chicago, City of Highland Park's Office of Economic Development, Highland Park Chamber of Commerce, and the Library.
