Description: To celebrate the library’s 125th anniversary, "Chicago Tribune’s" Rick Kogan hosts an afternoon featuring literary and cultural figures from throughout Chicago reading from their favorite works of literature. Readers include bestselling authors Elizabeth Berg and Jonathan Eig, musician Billy Corgan, essayist and short-story writer Joseph Epstein, comedian, author, and journalist Aaron Freeman, Writers’ Theatre artistic director Michael Halberstam, Ravinia president Welz Kauffman, acclaimed documentary producer and broadcaster Bill Kurtis, Emmy Award-winner and Vice President of Kurtis Productions Donna La Pietra, Steppenwolf Theatre artistic director Martha Lavey, NBC Today Show correspondent Mike Leonard, Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist Mary Schmich, and Mayor Rotering of Highland Park.
