We will look at common mistakes we make when dementia comes into the picture. This session will serve as an introductory session on creating more positive, engaging interactions throughout the journey of living with dementia. We will visit Teepa Snow’s GEMS® model to identify tips and common mistakes at each step along the way. Finally, we will work to take a look in the mirror and find out what we can try to do differently to make interactions less awkward and uncomfortable so that dementia doesn’t rob us of our relationships.
