We will explore aging brains and what is normal versus what is not normal. This session will serve as an introductory session on aging, and will include a few tips on what to notice in yourself and others. Together, we will explore the changes that may denote something not-normal and begin looking at dementia as a possibility alongside other possibilities out there. Finally, we will introduce Teepa Snow’s GEMS® model as a way to talk about the journey that happens through the progression of brain change compared to other models currently in use.
