 Mindfulness is a big buzzword today - science is now affirming the many benefits to practicing mindfulness. There are two elements to practicing mindfulness: regulating your consciousness and doing it openly without judgment (Bishop et al., 2004). This practice comes from eastern spiritual traditions and can be integrated into our daily lives, regardless of our religious beliefs. It is a practice that helps ground us amidst our daily chaos. By practicing mindfulness and mindfulness meditation, we can learn to control how we show up in the world by choosing to respond appropriately, instead of reacting prematurely. Additionally, mindfulness allows us to separate suffering from our experiences. It is a critical practice to those wanting to find more inspiration in their lives, to take back some control of their days, and reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression. Join us for this seminar to learn the basics of mindfulness - what it is, what itís not, and how to integrate it for a healthier, happier you. You will learn how to use mindfulness as the first step to conquering your daily stress.
