Event Details

Confused about what to do since Windows XP is no longer supported after April 8, 2014? Ubuntu may be your answer. For this class, participants are invited to bring their laptops and have Ubuntu installed as a alternative OS to Windows. We will be discussing, evaluating, and installing Ubuntu as a solution to XP. Ubuntu is the most popular and easiest-to-use version of desktop Linux. You can read more about Ubuntu at: http://www.ubuntu.com/about/about-ubuntu Please note, this class requires that all participants sign a waiver prior to installation. All participants are also responsible for backing up all your files before the event. We will not be able to back up any of your data at the program. Also, please note, that the evaluation and installation process can take some time, so please show up no later than 90 minutes before the event ends. Please, bring your laptop’s power cord to the event.
