Event Type: Computer Class Age Group(s): Ages 18 and up Date: 1/16/2013 Start Time: 2:30 PM End Time: 4:00 PM Description: Now that you’re familiar with browsing the Internet, it’s time to become a savvy searcher! This class teaches tips and tricks for smart Internet searching. Learn how to get results using targeted keywords and which Internet pitfalls to avoid. While exploring, get hands-on experience with search engines like Google and meta-search engines like Dogpile.com.
Prerequisites: Basic Mouse and Keyboard Skills, Introduction to Internet, or equivalent experience. Location: Computer Lab, Lower Level Other Information: Registration required. You must provide your Library Card Number or show proof of Cherry Hill residence to register. Non-cardholders are not able to register online and should call 856-903-1246 to be put on a waiting list. If space permits, you will be called a couple days prior to the class to be admitted.
