Start Time: 7:00 PM
End Time: 9:00 PM
Description:
Is investing something you have ever thought about doing? Well, maybe, but it’s scary! Is investing something you ought to be doing? Probably, but you’re not sure how to begin!

If you are thinking about investing, or just getting started as an investor, please join us at the Cherry Hill Library for a series of Investment Classes.

These classes are designed to gently open the doors to the world of investing and to dispel the mystery of investing, teach specific investment knowledge, and provide reassurance so attendees can confidently explore the financial world.

Oct. 29 – Introduction to Investing
The first class will pursue an understanding of investment vocabulary, primary investment concepts, discuss investing as an individual or group activity, and describe the time and effort necessary for successful investing.

Nov. 5 – Library Investment Resources and How to Use them
The second class focuses on using the two major investment resources offered by the Cherry Hill Library. You will learn about valuable investment resources, including Value Line and Morningstar. You will also have the opportunity to ‘study’ a personally selected stock sheet.

Nov. 12 – Hands On Investment Tools
The final class, using the computer, will build on the Value Line and Morningstar data to further analyze the company you have theoretically purchased. Students will analyze their stock following the price and fate of that company over several weeks. The class will discuss what factors may have contributed to a successful upward or disappointing downward trend of the company.
