Event Type: Library-sponsored Juvenile Event
Date: 2/4/2020
Start Time: 3:30 PM
End Time: 4:30 PM
Description:
Kids ages 5 to 12 are invited to an afterschool nature workshop at the Blue Hill Public Library about yellow birch and alder, with Landere Naisbitt from Blue Hill Heritage Trust, on Tuesday, February 4th at 3:30 PM. Participants will learn about yellow birch and alder trees, and will make hearts out of twigs that can be used as ornaments or wall hangings. Participants will also enjoy birch tea!

This workshop is part of a series called Wild Sun Catchers, celebrating the wild plants of the Blue Hill Peninsula with focus on a different plant each month, and meeting on the first Tuesday at the library. Workshops will take place both indoors and outdoors so please come prepared for the weather.

This program is free and is co-sponsored by the library and Blue Hill Heritage Trust. There is no charge and everyone is welcome. For more information, call the library at 374-5515.
