Word Workshop: Catch an Idea! with Charlotte Agell

Event Type: Library-sponsored Juvenile Event
Date: 10/26/2019
Start Time: 10:00 AM
End Time: 11:00 AM
Kids ages 5-9 are invited to a writing and drawing workshop, "Catch an Idea!" with author & illustrator Charlotte Agell. She will demonstrate how she creates her drawings for children's books and explore the process behind book making. No experience required. Drawing supplies provided, or bring your pencils and drawing pad.

Charlotte Agell is the author/illustrator of 14 books for children and young adults. Her two new books focus on grief, loss, and the healing power of friendship ("Maybe Tomorrow?" a picture book illustrated by Ana Ramirez) as well as the Maine seasons ("Mud, Sand, and Snow," a board book illustrated by the author). These two books will be the springboards into forty-five minutes of drawing and idea-catching, with a peek into the process behind book making.

This program is co-sponsored by the library and Word: Blue Hill Literary Arts Festival. There is no charge and everyone is welcome. For more information call the library at 374-5515.
