The film is a biography of Johannes Vermeer (1632 -1675), and includes footage of the artist’s finest pieces on exhibit in London's National Gallery, New York Metropolitan Museum of Art and other galleries. The soundtrack includes live-recorded period music from the Academy of Ancient Music.
