Bird Feeder & Citizen Science Workshop

Description:
 Calling all bird and wildlife watching enthusiasts! Do you enjoy watching birds at your feeder? Want to learn about how to a be citizen scientist while watching birds visit your feeder? Would you like to come make your own a bird feeder? Then join Explore Outdoors! to learn about Cornell Lab of Ornithology's Project FeederWatch and how you can help collect important information about the birds that visit your feeders! We will also make a couple of different handmade feeders for you to bring home for your backyard birds!

This program is co-sponsored by the library and Explore Outdoors! a collaboration between Blue Hill Heritage Trust, Downeast Audubon and Great Pond Mountain Conservation Trust. It is free and all are welcome but registration is required and can be done using the calendar at www.bhpl.net or by calling the library at 374-5515. Kids under 8 years of age must be accompanied by a caregiver at least 12 years of age.
