 Have you ever thought about writing children's books or magazine stories? Join local authors Della Ross Ferreri and Karen Kaufman Orloff as they talk about how writers develop story ideas that are suitable for publication. They'll share revision tips and how to submit your manuscript to publishing houses. There will be plenty of time for your questions about writing for the children's market.

bios:

Della Ross Ferreri is a teacher and children’s writer. She is the author of several board books, picture books, and easy readers - most recently,“Huggle Wuggle, Bedtime Snuggle,” “Precious Baby,” "Beep! Beep! Special Delivery" and her newest book - a lift-the-flap board book for toddlers,"God Blesses Me." She has also published stories and poems in children’s magazines such as Highlights High Five, Highlights Hello, Ladybug, Babybug and Clubhouse Jr. Della enjoys presenting interactive children's programs, and is a co-founder of Children’s Writers of the Hudson Valley. She lives in the beautiful Hudson Valley in New York with her husband, three children and two guinea pigs.

Karen Kaufman Orloff is the author of many books for children, including the popular “I Wanna” series — “I Wanna Iguana,” “I Wanna New Room,” and “I Wanna Go Home” from G.P. Putnam. Some of her more recent titles include “Some Days,” “Goodnight, Little Bot,” and “Miles of Smiles.” Her 12th book for children, “What Does Dudley Do All Day?” will be out in May 2020. She is a frequent visitor to schools, and is a co-founder of Children’s Writers of the Hudson Valley. She lives in Hopewell Junction with her family.
