In celebration of the Poughkeepsie Big Read, we will be holding our annual Literary Salon in collaboration with the Hudson Valley Writers’ Workshop and the Greenhaven Correctional Facility Writer's Group. These groups will be reading aloud works of their own, but we invite the community to read aloud their own writing or those of a favorite writer as well. Celestse Ng’s,“Everything I Never Told You” will provide the themes of water, swimming, mystery, friendship, multi-cultural families, and secrets, Please note that this is a grown-up event, as some of the material may not be appropriate for children. Registration is required and readings submitted for review by October 5th. There will be wine and light desserts served.
