Program Topic: Grandma Nellie's Scrapbook: Identifying and Interpreting Historic Photos

Many people become heirs to a box of unidentified family photos and have no clue what to do with them. Tina will offer solutions for identifying these 'lost' family members by teaching attendees how to use genealogy sources in conjunction with observational techniques.

Presented by Tina Beaird

Tina Beaird is owner of Tamarack Genealogy and is also a Genealogy/Local History Librarian at the Plainfield Area Public Library in Plainfield, Illinois. Tina lectures extensively on topics including Scottish resources, military research and archival preservation. She is a member of the Genealogical Speakers Guild and the Association of Professional Genealogists as well as the First Vice President of the Illinois State Genealogical Society and director for the Oswegoland Heritage Association. She volunteers her time with several historical and genealogical societies across Illinois. She has provided research assistance for nearly twenty-five years and has been researching her family's history, as time permits, for over thirty years. Tina is a baseball fanatic and she and her family have visited 23 out of 30 Major League ballparks.
