"Meet Mrs. George H. James: Writing a Biographical Sketch"

Each ancestor has a story. Family historians need to tell these stories, especially for those ancestors who do not get as much attention as some. Mrs. George H. James' obituary didn't even mention her first name. She seemed to be lost to the ages but using common genealogical documents uncovered the amazing story of a pioneering woman who I am proud to call my great, great, great grandma! Come to this presentation to see how this researcher became a writer and how you can turn your research into stories.

Lori Bessler is a Reference Librarian at the Wisconsin Historical Society and has been researching family history for over 40 years.
