Event Type: Adult Program Age Group(s): Adults, Seniors Date: 6/18/2015 Start Time: 6:30 PM End Time: 8:00 PM Description: Join us for a film screening of Forgotten History, a documentary created by Lawrence University student Zach Ben Amots and award-winning filmmaker Catherine Tatge, “Forgotten History” documents the experiences of some of the African American students who have attended Lawrence. This film examines the stories of individuals who have had a wide array of experiences rooted in one shared environment, ever since the first black student arrived on campus in the mid-19th century. It also explores the relationship between the city of Appleton and Lawrence with regards to inclusion and diversity.The film maker and director of Film Studies at Lawrence University will lead discussion.
