Description:
Presented by Ron Borkowicz, Ph.D., author of “Cardiovascular Disease Risk Factor Knowledge and Behaviors.” In America, almost half of all deaths caused by disease are due to heart attacks and strokes. Many of these deaths could be postponed or even prevented if individuals would modify their lifestyle behaviors. In this presentation, Dr. Borkowicz will first discuss the major causes of heart attacks and strokes, causes that you can control. He will also explain how you can reduce your chance of having a heart attack or stroke. Using his 26 years as an emergency first aid and CPR instructor, he will conclude the presentation by telling you many of the things you should do if you suspect someone is having a heart attack or stroke. The material is presented in an entertaining manner and provides opportunities for audience interaction. Free resources will also be made available. Free admission.
